Assalamualaikum and hello to everyone,,,
Happy to meet you again and hopefully you are in the good mood today. Last night before I sleep, I was thinking about limestone cave…Ermm have you been to limestone cave? Last time I visit limestone cave when I was 18 years old and it was my first time and last night I’m planning to visit again during my semester break. Three years ago, I have been visited limestone cave at Gong Cave, Indonesia… what the surprised is the cave so interesting and unique… It is also quite beautiful… when I came inside the cave it was so dark and I couldn’t see clearly… Fortunately, got some lights inside there so I can see the stalagmite and stalactite… the stalactite and stalagmite made me feel something different… when I saw it, I was so excited and I touched it… the stone liked moist and wet… here I upload the pictures of limestone at Gong Cave, Indonesia.
do you know what is the different between stalactite and stalagmite? stalactites and stalagmites are formed in caves by the deposition of calcium carbonate...stalactites are the conical deposits that form are the roof of the cave and hang downward while stalagmites are those that form on the bottom of the cave and grow upward as water drips down from above,,,,
